Kick off the Holiday Season with a weekend full of hometown family fun that's sure to put a little jingle in your step!
Friday, December 1: Hometown Holidays Fesitivies at City Hall 5:00pm-9:00pm
Join us for this annual city tradition, a FREE fun-filled family festival to celebrate the kickoff of December holidays, complete with ice sledding, bounce houses, food, petting zoo, music and, of course, Santa Claus! We'll light the City Hall Christmas tree at the end of the evening and then enjoy a stunning fireworks show to cap it all off. There will also be a selection of vendors selling unique gifts and tasty treats to get a head start on your holiday shopping. Free to attend or see Santa; charge for food, drinks, and some activities.
Saturday, December 2: FALALALA 5K at Rose Park 8:00am
The Mansfield Kiwanis Fa La La La 5K is an annual fun run/walk hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Mansfield the first weekend of December during the City of Mansfield's Hometown Holiday Festival. Registration is $25 through November 18; $30 after that. The Kiwanis Club of Mansfield is a community service organization dedicated to improving the lives of children in Mansfield and around the world. Click HERE to register for the race.
Saturday, December 2: Annie Jr. the Musical at The Farr Best Theater Noon-1:00pm
Get your seats early for the Hometown Holidays Parade and enjoy a FREE performance of Annie Jr. right in the middle of Main Street! The talented performers from Music Place Mansfield will give parade viewers an exclusive show starting right at noon. if you can't make the parade or want a warmer showing, check out any of their other performances at the Farr Best Theater in Historic Dowtown Mansfield. Saturday, December 2: Hometown Holidays Parade in historic downtown Mansfield 2:00pm
Join us as we honor our Hometown Heroes in our 2017 Hometown Holidays Parade. The events begins promptly at 2:00pm (come early to see a live performance of Annie Jr on Main Street!), and will loop Historic Downtown Mansfield. The parade is free to attend. Saturday, December 2: Amos Lee Concert at MISD Center for the Performing Arts 8:00pm
Singer/songwriter Amos Lee is making a stop in Mansfield during his national solo tour for a performance at the MISD Center for the Performing Arts. Lee's concert will feature MISD high school show choirs as the opening act. All proceeds will benefit the MISD Center Arts Program, which brings in arts performances and cultural events to the students of MISD and the community. The incredible night of music will include songs from Lee's self-produced new album, SPIRIT. Click HERE to purchase your tickets.
Sunday, December 3: Holiday Tour of Homes 1:00pm-5:00pm
Tour beautifully decorated homes to get into the Christmas spirit with Mansfield Women's Club. Cost for the tour is $25.
