The Mansfield Pickle Queens "Need More Kowbell" at the 2017 World's Only Pickle Parade and Palooza as they celebrate the city's cowboy heritage in a tribute to the legendary Kowbell Rodeo. The 6th annual event takes place in historic downtown Mansfield, the Pickle Capital of Texas, with free admission and parking.
Joining the festivities will be 10-time Grammy Award-winning Western swing band, Asleep at the Wheel starting at 6:00pm.
The day gets rolling at 8am with the 10K, 5K, and Kids K Pickle runs. The popular parade down Main Street boasts more than 90 floats, topped by the nationally recognized Mansfield Pickle Queens. Returning to the parade this year are the always-popular Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. From 10am - 6pm, the Pickle Playground offers free children's activities, including crafts, face painting, a petting zoo, and bounce houses. A food court, vendor market and live entertainment will also run 10am - 6pm. Starting at 3:30pm will be pickle-eating, pickle juice-drinking, and pie eating contests.
Admission and Parking for the Parade and Palooza is FREE. Bring cash for the food court and vendor market.
