A Safe, Supportive Space for Every Girl

Mary Elizabeth’s approach is rooted in empathy, engagement, and encouragement. She creates a welcoming, judgment-free space where middle school girls feel comfortable exploring their identities and emotions through art.
Whether they’re working on self-portraits, collaborative projects, or visual storytelling, Mary Elizabeth tailors each session to help girls express themselves in meaningful and enjoyable ways.
She believes art isn’t about learning techniques—it’s about discovering inner strength, developing resilience, and finding joy in the creative process. By blending structured art activities with opportunities for personal expression, Mary Elizabeth empowers each girl to develop confidence, self-awareness, and lasting friendships.
Freeform Wire and Silk Sculpture
Sept 24, 2026 | 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM
Sturdy wire on sanded wooden bases becomes the underlying architecture to hold free form silk shapes, which can then be collaged or painted according to each girl’s creative inspiration.
On My Mind
Oct 08, 2026 | 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM
This fall, we'll explore self-portraiture with bold colors, expressive marks, and collage in “wild hairdos” to visualize our thoughts, feelings, favorite things, current events, and whatever else occupies our minds.
Mixed Media Skulls
Oct 22, 2026 | 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM
What could be more fun for Halloween and Dia de Los Muertos then layered the skulls encased in shadow boxes!? Our girls can choose any theme or style they fancy as we learn about creating depth through color and contrast.
Faux Enamel/Faux Glass
Nov 05, 2026 | 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM
Join us for a fun, low-stress process that creates amazing results! Using simple materials, we’ll make faux enamel and stained glass pieces on canvas boards. The girls will love repeating this at home—ask them to teach you how to make your own!
My Cup Runneth Over
Nov 19, 2026 | 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM
Using a variety of papers, we will create 3-dimensional cups and bases to hold flowers (or other representational items), each marked with a distinct blessing that we are thankful for. Perfect for the season of gratitude!

Textile Painting
Dec 03, 2026 | 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM
This is 1 the girls have been begging for! Using yarn, threads, and torn textiles, we will either design our own canvases or recreate a classical masterpiece.

Crowning Glory
Dec 17, 2026 | 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM
For millennia, women worldwide have worn crowns. Our girls can choose any theme and material to create stunning expressions of themselves, showcasing their creativity, what they love, and the symbols that represent their unique, divine spark!
