Steampunk November: Friday, 11/10 - Sunday, 11/12
Steampunk November is the longest running Steampunk festival in Texas and takes place just on the south edge of Mansfield. This three-day event will feature vendors, a wide variety of entertainment, live music, afternoon teas, wine tasting, shows, festivities & family fun, food, door prizes and more! Saturday, November 11 - Veterans Parade 10:00am
Join us as we honor our Veterans for a Parade & Honorary Salute. Parade route will be along Broad Street near City Hall and will begin at 10:00am. The Honorary Salute will take place at R.L. Saturday, November 11 - Holly Days Christmas Market 8:00am
Methodist Mansfield Medical Center Auxiliary presents Holly Days Christmas Market, 8:00am - 5:00pm on the Main Floor of the Medical Center. The 12th annual market offers a variety of unique gifts including home decor, clothing, jewelry, baked goods, raffles and much more! Saturday, November 11 - Nature at Night 8:00pm
Join us for an evening exploring nature at night at Oliver Nature Park. Activities will include games, crafts, owl pellet dissection, and s'mores by the campfire. There will also be live animals, glow-in-the-dark geology, and a night hike. Preregistration is required and is geared for all ages. Click HERE for more info and how to register.
Thursday, November 16 - Third Thursday's Mansfield 5:00pm
Every third Thursday, Historic Mansfield comes alive starting at 5:00pm as participating businesses extend their hours until 8:00pm. There will be vendors, food trucks, a 5K run run, and more! This month's theme is "Giving Thanks by Giving Back". As Main Street merchants decorate for the holidays, they will also start the holiday giving spirit. Donate a toy at a Marine Toys for Tots donation box at the 2CBuilders Tent, or adopt an angel from the Angel Tree at the Philip Smith Farmers Insurance tent. There will also be a free holiday concert at the Farr Best Theater by Ros/Car, a harp and violin duo. Concert will begin at 6:30pm. Fall is here, and so are the leaves! Would you like to do something useful with them instead of packing them into those big, brown bags? Join us a Oliver Nature Park to learn the basics of composting and mulching with your autumn leaves. Preregistration is required and is geared toward ages 8Y+. Saturday, November 18 - A Christmas Carol 2:00pm and 8:00pm
This Charles Dickens' classic comes alive as Ebenezer Scrooge is visited by the ghost of his partner, Jacob Marley and the three spirits of Christmas. Monday, November 20 - Painting at the Park 1:00pm
Join us for a nature-themed painting class at Oliver Nature Park. An artist will guide you step-by-step as you create your masterpiece of a Great Blue Heron. Thursday, November 23 - Mansfield Turkey Trot 8:00am
Get your gobble gobble on at Katherine Rose Park for Mansfield's annual Turkey Trot. The Fun Run will begin at 8:00am, and the 5K will start at 8:30am. Click HERE for event info and to register.
Hometown Holidays - December 1-3, 2017
Kick off the holiday season with a weekend full of hometown family fun that's sure to put a little jingle in your step! The weekend kicks off with the annual Hometown Holidays festival at City Hall on Friday. Saturday is full of events including the FALALALA 5K run, Annie Jr. the Musical at the Farr Best Theater, the Hometown Holidays parade in historic downtown, and a performance by singer/songwriter, Amos Lee, at the MISD Center for the Performing Arts. Sunday's Holiday Tour of Homes sponsored by the Mansfield Womens Club rounds out the weekend to get you ready for the holiday season. Click HERE for all the details.
Saturday, December 2 - Amos Lee in Concert 8:00pm
Singer/songwriter Amos Lee is making a stop in Mansfield during his national solo tour at the MISD Center for the Performing Arts. Lee's concert will feature MISD high school show choirs as the opening act. All proceeds will benefit the MISD Center Arts Program, which brings in art performances and cultural events to the students of MISD and the community.
