Saturday, July 1 - The LOT Downtown Featuring Robin English 7:00pm

Robin English, The LOT Downtown, Mansfield, TXSinger/songwriter Robin English was born into a musical family in Texas and grew up in Arlington and Mansfield before moving to Nashville to pursue a career in country music. Like many other aspiring country stars, she played in local clubs with her band, and wrote hundreds of songs with more than a hundred other songwriters. She also found time to graduate with honors from Belmont University, and attend law school.

Sunday, July 2 - Red, White & Rockin' Kids Triathlon 7:30am

Red, White & Rockin' Kids Triathlon, Mansfield, TXThe 2nd Annual Red, White & Rockin' Kids Triathlon is a fully USAT sanctioned event. Kids can participate in two distances: 130m swim, 3.1 mile bike, and half mile run for the Juniors (ages 6-10), and 200m swim, 6.2 mile bike, and 1 mile run as Seniors (ages 11-15). The swim will be in the Hawaiian Falls Lazy River, the bike course will be near the complex, and the run will be around and through Big League Dreams baseball complex.

 

Monday, July 3 - Red, White & Rockin' 4th of July 7:00pm

Rockin' 4th of July, Mansfield, TXJoin the festivities at Big League Dreams at the annual Red, White & Rockin' 4th of July, 7:00pm - 10:00pm; fireworks at 9:30pm. There will be music by Radio Edit, family activities, homerun derby, bounce houses, and a smash car. Bring cash for food and drinks, but leave coolers and ice chests at home. Admission is FREE, and there will be FREE parking and shuttle service at Newsom Stadium 6:45pm - 11:00pm (no parking at Hawaiian Falls or Big League Dreams).

Saturday, July 8 - The LOT Downtown featuring Brian Anthony 7:00pm

Bryan Anthony, The LOT Downtown, Mansfield, TXBryan Anthony has devoted his life to preserving the "Great American Songbook". When not on the road with his quartet, Bryan regularly tours with the Tommy Dorsey, Neslon Riddle, and Glenn Miller Orchestras. His tours have taken him around the world where he puts his unique stamp on the greatest songs of the 20th century, written by the greats such as Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, Rodgers and Hart, and Jerome Kern. Also performing with Bryan is Mansfield resident, Austin Kiefer; a multi-talented pop singer with universal appeal.

Wednesday, July 12 - Painting at the Park 11:00am

Painting at the Park, Oliver Nature Park, AnoleJoin us for a nature-themed painting class at Oliver Nature Park featuring an Anole. An artist will lead you step-by-step as you create your masterpiece. This class is geared toward ages 5 and up, and all materials will be supplied. Pre-registration is required. Wednesday, July 12 - Silly Strings by Geppetto's Theater & Workshop 10:30am

Silly Strings, Farr Best Theater, Mansfield, TXWith lively hand-crafted marionette puppets from Geppetto's Theater & Workshop, this family-friendly show will highlight some of the fun characteristics of puppetry with silly characters. No registration is required for this FREE event at the Farr Best Theater in Historic Downtown Mansfield.

 

Saturday, July 15 - The LOT Downtown Featuring The Hendersons 7:00pm

The Hendersons, The LOT Downtown, Mansfield, TXThrow this band into a mix with The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkle, and The Beach Boys, and they won't sound at all out of place. If you love the music from the 60's and wonder why nobody makes music like that anymore, then see this band. The Hendersons make that music in the present day.

Tuesday, July 18 - Summer Cinema Clubhouse at the Farr Best Theater 1:00pm

Summer Cinema Clubhouse, Sing, Farr Best Theater, Mansfield, TXJoin us at the Farr Best Theater for a showing of Sing. Cost is $1 per person, and children under the age of two are admitted free. No advance registration is required, and seating is limited. Doors open at noon, so get there early for a good seat! Concessions will be available for purchase.

Thursday, July 20 - Third Thursdays Mansfield 5:00pm

Third Thursday, Mahalo Mansfield, Mansfield, TXEvery third Thursday of the month, Historic Mansfield comes alive starting at 5:00pm as participating businesses extend their shopping hours until 8:00pm. This month's theme is "Mahalo Mansfield" and will feature a giant water balloon fight at The LOT Downtown, hula dancers at the Farr Best Theater, specials at local shops and restaurants, food trucks, vendors, and a minute-to-win-it game. Saturday, July 22 & Sunday July 23, and Saturday, July 29 & Sunday, July 30 - Mainstage Classic Theatre Presents Oklahoma!

Mainstage Classic Theatre, Oklahoma, Mansfield, TXMainstage Classic Theatre presents Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma! at Willie Pigg Auditorium. BettySoo, The LOT Downtown, Mansfield, TXAcclaimed singer/songwriter BettySoo performs solo and with bands, and leads workshops on songwriting, voice, and guitar. In the five years since the release of her album, Heat Sin Water Skin, she has toured extensively with her band and with Canadian dobro master, Doug Cox, with whom she released two duo albums of songs penned by friends and heroes.

Jessie Frye, The LOT Downtown, Mansfield, TXJessie Frye is winner of the Best Pop Act for the 2015 Dallas Observer Music Awards, and is an official SXSW 2015 artist. In 2014 the Jessie Frye Band won the fan-voted Edgefest competition, and has shared the stage with Beck, Avett Brothers, Flyleaf, Black Joe Lewis, Kitten, Chvrches, Daley and more. "She has steadily ascended to front of the North Texas musical ranks. The grand, theatrical beauty of her studio recordings is increasingly reinforced in her full-tilt concert appearances." -Star Telegram
